As a result of this week’s conclusion of Local Officer Elections, the Membership Meeting is being postponed. Your new Executive Board has plans to meet in the near future and will announce when they plan to hold the Local 542 Membership Meeting.

Monday May 11, 2015 at noon, Nominations closed for Local 542 1st Vice President. Valid nomination forms were recieved for one candidate. According to the Local 542 1st Vice President Election Rules, if only one valid nomination is received, that nominee will be declared the winner by acclamation and will take office on May 13, 2015. R. Scott Cunningham is the winner by acclamation and will take office tomorrow, May 13, 2015 as your new 1st Vice President.
Congratulations to Scott on his newly elected position.

The rules outline the date’s nominations open and close, as well as the process for nominating someone for the 1st Vice President position. Within the rules you will find how to return nomination forms, when nominations open and close, when the election opens and closes and what you are to do if you do not receive balloting instructions. You will be getting further information in the mail to your last home address that the Local has for you.
